In our first webinar, we featured Jonathan Ali, Ph.D. Toxicologist, Environmental Health Program, from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services. We provided:

1) An overview of the process for establishing drinking water regulations in New Hampshire

2) Highlights of the scientific issues surrounding health risk assessment, regulation and remediation of PFAS. This discussion will underscore the future need for professionals interested in cross-disciplinary and collaborative work in order to address chemical contamination of our natural resources.

Featuring Jonathan Ali, Ph.D.
Toxicologist, Environmental Health Program, from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services

Bio: Dr. Jonathan Ali is an Environmental Toxicologist for the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES). Currently, his work at NHDES as a regulatory risk assessor and toxicologist, providing support to multiple state agencies. Dr. Ali moved to New Hampshire from Nebraska, where he was a postdoctoral researcher in the University of Nebraska’s Department of Civil Engineering. He obtained his Doctorate in Environmental Health & Toxicology from the College of Public Health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
